About the programme
We will deliver the Te Atatū Peninsula stormwater upgrade programme in seven stages over the next 10 years as funding becomes available.
We will:
- extend the water network to connect to new and future housing
- increase stormwater capacity to reduce flooding risks
- allow properties that are not currently served by public stormwater to connect to it
- plant vegetation around stormwater outfalls An outfall is the point where water or waste exits a system, like a river merging with a larger body of water. to improve the environment.
Stages of the programme
Stages 1 to 5 of the programme are on hold. We will provide more information on these stages when we continue work on the designs.
Stages 6 and 7
We are preparing to submit resource consent for stages 6 and 7 of the programme.
About stages 6 and 7
We will:
- build a new stormwater pipe for Taikata Road and the northern end of Yeovil Road
- upgrade the stormwater outfall at River Road
- build a new stormwater pipe for Peachgrove Road, Yeovil Road, Gloria Avenue and parts of Stokes Avenue
- build a new stormwater outfall at the end of Brigdens Avenue
- increase planting around the outfall points.
