The Waiheke Community Resource Recovery Park is operated by Island Waste Collective.
When you enter the resource recovery park, follow staff guidance and signage.
Be aware of these requirements before travelling to the site:
- Household recyclables must be sorted before you arrive.
- Domestic green waste must not include:
- branches over 100mm in diameter
- roots
- soil
- building materials (timber).
Before you visit
Contact the centre in advance about:
- bulky items or large batches
- items that need extra handling or preparation
- anything unusual or that may need staff approval.
Fees and charges
Fees may apply for some materials or services.
Items not accepted
- Odorous waste
- Veterinary, hospital and medical waste
- Liquid waste
- Timber preservatives, asbestos and chemical manufacturing residues
- Car bodies
- Commercial hazardous waste fill.
