The Helensville Community Recycling Centre is run by Helensville Enterprises Trust (a local community trust).
The site currently diverts 78 per cent of the total volume of waste it receives away from landfill.
You can find bargains in the on-site second-hand shop.
Before you visit
Contact the centre in advance about:
- bulky items or large batches
- items that need extra handling or preparation
- anything unusual or that may need staff approval.
Fees and charges
Fees may apply for some materials or services.
There is no charge for clean and saleable:
- household items
- glass bottles
- scrap metal.
Items not accepted
- Hazardous or odorous waste
- Veterinary or medical waste
- Gas canisters
- Cartridges
- Liquid waste
- Asbestos
- Car bodies
- Fill (clay soil).
