The Tāmaki Community Recycling Centre is part of the Tāmaki Zero Waste Hub and is managed by Localised Ltd. As a social enterprise their objectives are to divert waste from landfill and to create new jobs and opportunities for the local community.
There is a drop-off service for the public and local businesses, as well as a large re-use shop on site for purchasing low-cost, second-hand goods.
The centre will close on Monday 22 December 2025 and reopen Thursday 8 January 2026.

There is no charge for dropping off household items that are clean and resaleable. If you have less than a cubic metre the team will give you a price based on the volume you have.
