Where you can put your rubbish, food scraps and recycling for collection

Household rubbish

Put your rubbish bin or official council rubbish bags out on the roadside before 7am on your collection day, or the night before.

We supply all eligible properties with a red-lidded rubbish bin or an annual allocation of rubbish bags for household rubbish.

The bin and the redeemed allocation of bags belong to Auckland Council and need to stay with this property if you move.

Food scraps

This property is listed as out of food scraps service area and will not receive collection service.

Household recycling

Put all recycling on the roadside before 7am on your collection day, or the night before.

We supply all eligible properties with a blue or yellow-lidded recycling bin for household recycling.

We will no longer collect recycling put out on the roadside in unofficial containers, such as plastic bags, fishing crates or cardboard boxes.

The bin belongs to Auckland Council and needs to stay with this property if you move.

Commercial rubbish

We do not offer a collection service for commercial volumes of rubbish on Waiheke Island.

If you are a commercial property paying a waste charge, put your rubbish bin or council supplied rubbish bags out on the roadside before 7am on your collection day, or the night before.
