Proposal to grant a community lease at 313 Queen Street Auckland

​Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Act 2002 the Waitemata Local Board intends to grant a community lease to the Basement Theatre Trust at 313 Queen Street Auckland City.

The land is legally described as allotment four and five Section 29 City of Auckland and owned by council under the Local Government Act 2002.

The premises comprise approximately 168m2 of space in a multi storey building shared with other tenants.

The space will be used for theatre and performing arts purposes and is to be part of an art and performance hub in the area.

The proposed lease is for a term of five years with a right of renewal of five years.
