Proposal to grant a community licence to The Korean Gardens Trust at Barry’s Point Reserve, 37 Fred Thomas Drive, Takapuna

​Auckland Council invites submissions from persons with an interest in Barry's Point Reserve Takapuna at 37 Fred Thomas Drive Takapuna. Council proposes to grant a licence to occupy to The Korean Gardens Trust for an area at the Reserve. The licence is for a term of 10 years with two 10-year rights of renewal. The site will be developed as a garden for the benefit of the public including a veteran's garden that will have a memorial as a focal point.

The proposal is made under the Reserves Act 1977 for the area described as Part Harbour Bed A SO 69231 held in fee simple by Auckland Council. The proposed licence area is approximately 14,239.55 square meters.

Any person wishing to make a submission in respect of the above proposal is required to lodge this in writing no later than 5:00pm on 8 November 2019.
