Proposal to grant a community lease over part of Fernglen Reserve

​Auckland Council invites submissions or objections from persons with an interest in the following land in the Kaipatiki Local Board area.

Fernglen Reserve, Kauri Road, Birkenhead

Council proposes to grant a community lease to The Fernglen Native Plant Gardens Educational Charitable Trust for the land located at Fernglen Reserve, Kauri Road, Birkenhead, that provide a collection of rare and endangered species of native plants, and to preserve and regenerate native bush.

The lease is for a term of 10 years with one 10 year right of renewal.

The proposal is made under the Local Government Act 2002 in respect of Part Lot 1 DP 138961  The land is held in fee simple by council under the Local Government Act 2002. The land status permits the proposed activity.
