Proposal to grant community leases in Howick Local Board Area

Auckland Council invites submissions or objections from persons with an interest in the following Howick Local Board Area.

Stancombe Cottage, 160R Murphy’s Road, Flat Bush

Council proposes to grant a community lease to Korean Positive Ageing Charitable Trust for the building at 160R Murphy’s Road, Flat Bush, for the purpose of providing support for the Korean community, specifically the senior community members. The lease is for a term of 5 years with one 5 year right-of-renewal.

The proposal is made under the Reserves Act 1977 in respect of Part Lot 1 Deposited Plan 69592 and marked “B” on SO 55031, comprising 2.1480 hectares and contained in CIR 632525. The land is held in fee simple by Auckland Council as a classified recreation reserve.

600 Pakuranga Road, Highland Park

Council proposes to grant a community lease to The Order of St John Northern Region Trust Board for the facility located at 600 Pakuranga Road, Highland Park, Howick, for the purpose of providing an ambulance service for the local community. The lease is for a term of 10 years with one 10 year right-of-renewal.

The proposal is made under section 73(3) of the Reserves Act 1977 in respect of Section 1 SO 353358 comprising of 969 square metres with no title. The land is held by the Crown through the Department of Conservation under the Reserves Act 1977, and vested in Auckland Council as a classified recreation reserve.

57 Glenmore Road, Sunnyhills

Council proposes to grant a community lease to The Girl Guides Association New Zealand Incorporated for the building located at 57 Glenmore Road, Sunnyhills, for the purpose of activities associated with Girl Guides. The lease is for a term of 5 years with one 5 year right-of-renewal.

The proposal is made under the Reserves Act 1977 in respect of Lot 35 Deposited Plan 54998 comprising 1950 square metres and contained in NA12B/1154. The land is held in fee simple by Auckland Council as an unclassified recreation reserve.

Green Gables Cottage 66 Cook Street, Howick

Council proposes to grant a community lease to the Howick Art Group Incorporated at 66 Cook Street, Howick, for the purpose of promoting interest in the arts, mainly drawing and painting in the Howick and neighbouring areas. The lease term is for a term of 5 years with one 5 year right-of-renewal.

The proposal is made under the Local Government Act 2002 in respect of Part Lot 4 Deposited Plan 2039 comprising 1012 square metres and contained in NA639/250 and Lot 8 Deposited Plan 34310 comprising 1636 square metres and contained in NA882/10. The land is held in fee simple by the Auckland Council.
