Reclassification of reserves within the Rodney Local Board area

Auckland Council intends to prepare a management plan covering all local parks within the Rodney Local Board area. Prior to that action commencing, the Reserves Act 1977 (RA) requires all reserve lands within the local board area to be suitably classified in terms of that Act.
Pursuant to the section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, Auckland Council notifies its intention to reclassify the reserves described in the Schedule below from the existing purposes to the purposes set out in that Schedule. The reasons for each of the reclassifications proposed are included in the Schedule below.
Schedule
Parcels to be reclassified scenic reserve under section 24 of the RA and to be subject to the provisions of section 19(1)(b) of the RA
The following parcels are all currently classified scenic reserve: Sesquicentennial Walkway –
- Part Lot 5 DP 36395, 951m²
- Lot 6 DP 36395, 1905m²
- Lot 7 DP 36395, 665m²
Reason for reclassification: to clarify which part of section 19 is applicable.
Any person wishing to object to any of the proposals may do so in writing no later than Sunday 25 August 2019,
