Our proposed priorities for 2020/2021
We’re not proposing major changes to existing work programmes for 2020/2021 as we continue to deliver projects identified in our 2017 local board plan.
The board will continue to leverage local outcomes from the natural environment targeted rate by committing to local planting projects, water-quality improvements and pest management programmes with a high level of community involvement.
Support for the Hūnua Trail as a platform for eco-tourism and cultural celebration and Kia Puāwai a Pukekohe (Unlock Pukekohe) will continue.
We will continue our investment and advocacy for projects that respond to local growth, prioritising green-field development areas e.g. the Karaka Multisport Facility.
We will continue to progress local transport initiatives, and advocate for future-fit transport connections and roads.
