New leisure features for Normanton Reserve

About the plans to upgrade Normanton Reserve

Wai-Ora-Healthy Waterways is improving the water quality in the reserve by changing the construction and flow of the stormwater.

We are going to remove the underground concrete pipe and will replace it with an open stream enhanced with native planting.

The reserve currently has two concrete riding loops and is promoted by Bike Auckland as a family bike destination. Our aim is to enhance the biking activities with a BMX pump track bordering the stream.

We are also proposing other leisure features, which include a play hut and picnic shelter with barbeque facilities.

Why we need your feedback

Before we begin this upgrade work, we need your feedback on the proposed three new features.

The illustration shows what the new area will look like with the new stream, planting, BMX pump track, play hut, and picnic shelter.

We would like your feedback on these features, and how you rate them in importance.
