About the Henderson-Opanuku Link

The proposed Henderson-Opanuku Link project will create a shared path from Henderson train station to Corban Estate. This will provide safer and more accessible ways for people to access the town centre, train station and community facilities.

The project involves constructing a new art bridge over the Opanuku Stream and upgrading the Opanuku Reserve to a safe, vibrant area for people to enjoy.

Panuku Development Auckland, Henderson Massey Local Board and mana whenua are working together to deliver the Opanuku Link project.

What happens next

After we have reviewed your submissions we intend to spend the second half of 2018 planning the new bridge, path and playground upgrades.

Work is expected to start in January or February 2019.

We will report back final designs through the Henderson-Massey Local Board and Panuku communication channels.

Follow the Panuku Davelopment Facebook page to receive regular updates on our projects.
