Following public feedback and specialist advice, we have developed a draft structure plan for the Silverdale west and Dairy Flat area - which is approximately 600ha in size.
The proposed plan focuses on light industrial growth for the area. It is currently zoned "Future Urban".
The plan shows how the land can be urbanised, taking into account its strengths and constraints. It details proposed land uses, infrastructure, connections to the wider area, and considers cultural values, natural features and other matters.

The final structure plan will become the blueprint for transforming the land into a functioning urban area. The land is scheduled to be ready for development from 2019-2022.
