This consultation closed on Monday 9 April 2017. Thank you for having your say.
We received 383 pieces of feedback on the proposed Te Whau pathway. The feedback was largely in support of the proposal, with 86 per cent of submitters saying they would use the pathway.
Key themes in the feedback included:
- support for the design of the pathway, including the route and its accessibility from surrounding streets
- support for providing options for walking, cycling and recreation
- recognising the need to minimise the impact of the path on the environment
- identifying the need to provide infrastructure like toilets, rubbish bins and seating.
Based on the feedback, we have made several changes to the path's route. We will also incorporate many of the design features suggested, like bike racks and water fountains.
