Upgrades to Riverpark Reserve

Closed for feedback

About the upgrades to Riverpark Reserve

This consultation closed on 7 October 2018.

In total, we received 59 submissions. We will use the feedback to design the proposed new playground.

It was generally agreed there are too few activities on the site currently.

The most preferred activities for the new playground were items involving climbing, swinging and sliding. Other suggestions included a flying fox, a barbecue area, a concrete court and shaded seating. Most people also supported the installation of fitness stations.

Once we complete the concept design plan for the new playground, we will present it to the Henderson-Massey Local Board for approval.

We received an estimated 90 per cent of consultation submissions online, with the remainder coming from the open day and a few emails.

Thank you for your interest in the proposed Riverpark Reserve upgrade.

The project team is currently analysing all the feedback received. Once this is done, we will make a summary of the feedback public on this website (anticipated November).

This will help inform the selection of play equipment for the upgraded Riverpark Reserve playground, and provide data for the fitness station funding application.

If you have provided your email address to us you will be notified by email about project updates.
