Te Nikau Pā
Also known as Clevedon Scenic Reserve

75R Thorps Quarry Road, Clevedon

About Te Nikau Pā

The Clevedon Scenic Reserve has many old kauri trees, and great views of the Hunua Ranges and Hauraki Gulf.

Access the reserve from Thorps Quarry Road.

You can see and hear the bird life amongst 100ha of native bush rising above the Wairoa River.

Good walking paths, parking, public toilets, fitness equipment, and picnic areas are inside the reserve.

Summit walkway

The walkway to the summit starts at the car park and is approximately 1.1km to the lookout. The track is well constructed with some steps. It can be challenging so is more suited to those who are relatively fit.

Return to the car park by going back the same way, or continue on from the lookout. This is also a mixture of well constructed track and steps, and is slightly longer at 1.2km.
