About Howick Domain

Howick Domain - Basketball court with trees and open grassed space in the background.

This sports park is tucked among residential properties. Established trees border three sides of the park providing much needed shade and shelter.

Access the park from Wellington, Moore, Howe and Nelson streets. You will need to park on the road.

A playground, toilets, fitness equipment, basketball half-court, skate features, picnic tables and seating are inside the park.

The park is home to the Howick Pistol Club, Howick Rifle Club and Howick Tennis Club.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.

Playgrounds at Howick Domain

Howick Domain - Section of the fence on the road side of the playground.

This playground is suitable for a range of ages and abilities.

The higher sections are for children over 3 years of age and include a covered slide, climbing walls and nets, and more.

Toddlers can enjoy the space walk, slatted barrel, rocker toys, and the wobbly log bridge that leads to a junior slide.

There is also a standalone swing set.

A bike, leg press, sit up and seated overhead press stations are spaced along the path by the playground on the corner of Howe and Moore streets.

Basketball

The half-court is next to the buildings where Howick Pistol and Rifle Club is located.

Skating

There is a small strip of rails and ledges next to the basketball court at Howick Domain.
