About Marlborough Park

A large park with numerous recreational opportunities and a good network of paths throughout.

Vehicle entrance with mobility parking off Chartwell Avenue. Pedestrian entrances off Archers Road, Edgeworth Road (includes steps) and Ramillies Place. Gates are open 6am-10pm in summer, and 6am-6.30pm in winter.

Playground, accessible toilets and changing rooms, car park (including mobility parks), fitness equipment, skate facilities, basketball court, Marlborough Park Tennis Club, seating and picnic tables, and barbecue are inside the park.

Cross Archers Road to access McFetridge Park, home to numerous sports fields.

Accessible features at this park

The best wheelchair access is from Archers Road which has a wide concrete path. The car park has two mobility parking spaces.

The path from the car park to the playground is wide and flat, however the northern section of the park past the skate park has a steep gradient of up to 10 per cent.

Seating throughout the park is accessible and includes some in shaded areas. There is an accessible toilet but has a narrow doorway and limited space inside.

The playground has a wide range of accessible and sensory play equipment.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
