This town centre park is close to the transport hub and is a great venue for community events and informal recreation. The park is home to several community facilities including Citizens Advice.
Access the car park from Wood Street. Pedestrians can also access from Great South and Opaheke roads, and Chapel Street.
A fully fenced playground, toilets, car park (with mobility parking), picnic tables and seating, and drinking fountains are inside the park.
A wide even path connects the Wood Street car park, key facilities and the playground.
The Wood Street car park has two mobility parking spaces. There are also four mobility parking spaces on Railway Street West with a flat surface leading into the reserve.
The best bus stop for the reserve is Stop 2521. The gate entrance at the intersection of Wood Street and Great South Road is narrow - wheelchair users may need to access the reserve from Wood Street or Opaheke Road. The best access from the train station is on Railway Street West.
The playground is fully fenced, has accessible play elements and rubber safety surfacing.
