About Waikaraka Park
Waikaraka Park - Double cricket nets alongside the sports fields.
This 14 hectare park has a speedway track, eight winter sports fields, seven cricket wickets, toilets and seating. It is also surrounded by a historic stone wall built in the early 1900's,
The Waikaraka Park Cemetery is tucked away at the back of the park.
The park is home to:
- Auckland Stock and Saloon Car Club
- Continental Airlines Auckland Brass Band
- Auckland Studio Potters
- Onehunga Football Club
- Onehunga Cricket Association.
You need to know
Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol

Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
