Uru-ora / Stredwick Reserve is a scenic reserve providing a bush walk experience in the East Coast Bays. It is a convenient, peaceful and quiet spot for a family visit.
The paths through the reserve are a combination of concrete and gravel. There are some hills so it may not be suitable for people with accessibility needs.
The reserve has a range of indigenous flora and two ponds. The ponds are part of a flood management system that filters sediment out of stormwater during periods of rain. This improves the water quality in local streams. The ponds are also home to a range of bird life, including ducks that provide entertainment for children and visitors.
There is a children's playground near the Stredwick Drive entrance.
Access the reserve from Stredwick and Caversham drives, Cashel Place and Mizen Court.
