About Anderson Park

This large sports park is popular with families, joggers and walkers. Established trees provide much needed shade in the summer.
Access the car park from Preston Avenue. Pedestrians can also access the park via a walkway between numbers 1138 and 1142 New North Road.
A small playground, seating, car park, drinking fountain and tennis courts are inside the park.
The tennis courts are open to the public when not in use by the tennis club. If people are waiting please limit play to one hour.
The park is also home to the Mt Albert Ponsonby Football Club.

Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol

Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
