About Site 1

This is a large flat site with trees for shelter. It has one electric barbecue, water supply, and is about 200m to the toilets.

Phone 09 261 8001 to arrange permission for vehicle access - there is an extra charge for vehicles. Vehicle access is for drop off and pick up equipment and people only.

Rules for our bookable picnic sites
  • You must occupy your booked site by 9am.
  • Camping is not allowed on bookable sites at any time.
Bouncy castles and other inflatable devices in our regional parks

Your use of these devices must comply with:

  • Worksafe NZ regulations
  • the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Ambury Regional Park will be closed for one night from 8pm on Tuesday 6 May to 5.00am on Wednesday 7 May 2025 for rabbit pest control by way of shooting.
