About the path

Take a short, quiet stroll around Melville Park in Epsom.

Named after Ellen Melville, Auckland’s first woman councillor, the attractive park has been home to women's sport for many decades.

Start at the park entrance on St Andrews Road. Follow the Kate Sheppard walkway around the northern edge of the sports fields, then continue south to complete a loop around the park.

Melville Park offers a unique vantage point of three nearby maunga: Te Kōpuke/Tītīkōpuke/Mount St John, Maungawhau/Mount Eden, and Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill.

After your walk, take a break with kids at the playground, or kick a ball around the sports fields.

Public toilets are located at the St Andrews Road end of the park.
