Description of the Weymouth Walkway

The walkway offers views of Manukau Harbour and Puhinui Creek.

Several side tracks lead you down gravel paths or steps to the beach, where you can explore rock pools and observe coastal birdlife.

Fishing and shellfish gathering are popular in this area.

There are many ideal spots for picnics.

The upper reaches of the inlet feature mangrove forest and views across the landscape of the Puhinui Reserve.

Dogs have to be under control on the walkway.

Dogs are prohibited on sports fields or near children's playgrounds.

Dogs must not disturb wildlife or park users.

How to access the Weymouth Walkway

Start from Roys Road in the south and finish at Hanford Place on the shores of Puhinui Creek.
