Huia Lodge (Old Schoolhouse) at Huia, Waitākere Ranges Regional Park

This converted old schoolhouse contains six bunkrooms and large bathroom. It is situated next to a safe beach on Huia Bay, adjacent to the Waitākere Ranges.

Note: This lodge has a noise curfew of 10pm. In the event of a security company call out the group organiser will be held responsible for the cost of the call out.

Directions and access

From Titirangi follow Huia Road for 16.5km. Huia Lodge will be on the right hand side of the road.

Booking information

Bookings can only be made 12 months in advance for lodges. Availability refreshes at midnight daily.

Bedrooms

Six bunkrooms: two double bunk beds and one single bed in each.

You need to supply bed linen, blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, pillows, towels, tea towels, food, mosquito repellent and personal items.

    Fully equipped including fridge, freezer, large toaster, pots and pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery provided.

  • Toilets and bathrooms

    Separate toilet and shower facility block.

Rules

  • Animals

    Dogs, other animals and pets are prohibited at all times.

  • Cleaning

    You must keep the lodge and surrounding site clean and tidy during your stay, and when you leave.
    To protect against COVID-19 please clean all utensils, crockery and surfaces on your arrival and departure.

  • Rubbish

    Place rubbish in provided bins when you leave.

  • Overnight vehicles and tents

    Maximum of 12 vehicles permitted on site.

  • Fires

    Fires prohibited at all times.
