Campgrounds, self-contained vehicle sites, baches and lodges are open for bookings.
This campground is nestled behind the dunes at Te Arai with the odd pōhutukawa tree for shade.
The campground is a flat grassed and metal area with all-weather access on the front half, either side of the access gate.
Vehicles with a NZC5465 self-containment certificate (SCC) can stay up to three nights.

Directions and access
Turn to the left (north) at the intersection following the signs to the end of the northern car park. The SCC campground is accessible at all times through the locked access gate - a combination code will be provided with your booking.

No bins or rubbish disposal facilities. Take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Day visitors
All visitors must park in the day use carpark.
Overnight vehicles and tents
You may stay in self-contained certified (SCC) vehicles at this site. Must have a current NZC5465 Self-Containment Certificate from Ministry for the Environment.
Motorhomes, campervans, caravans, 5 wheelers and buses must not be longer than 8m.
You may not stay in tents or any other vehicles including campermatics/pop top campers, trucks and portable container dwellings.
Fires
Fires prohibited at all times.
