The council received recommendations on designations from Independent Hearings Panel.

22 July 2016
The council received all remaining recommendations from the Independent Hearings Panel.

19 August 2016
Notification of Auckland Council decisions and decisions version of plan and maps.

16 September 2016
Appeal period closed, but not for all designation appeals.

30 September 2016
Appeal period closes for Environment Court appeals on council designations.

17 October 2016
Decisions on non-council designations notified.

14 November 2016
Appeal period closed for High Court appeals on non-council designations.

15 November 2016
Auckland Unitary Plan Operative in part.

29 November 2016
Appeal period closes for Environment Court non-council designations.

13 May 2016
The Auckland Unitary Plan Independent Hearings Panel (the panel) completed its hearings.

18 May 2016:
The panel gave Auckland Council the majority of its recommendations on the designations topic.

22 July 2016
The panel gave Auckland Council the rest of its recommendations on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan. The council had 20 working days to consider and make decisions on the recommendations.

22 July 2016
The office of the Independent Hearings Panel closed.

27 July 2016
The recommendations were available on the website.
