We are not collecting food scraps (the small 23L bin) in Mt Roskill Zone A (roughly 262 properties) until further notice.
Biosecurity New Zealand has placed restrictions in the area due to the detection of a Queensland fruit fly.
Visit Biosecurity New Zealand to check if you are in Zone A or Zone B and how to dispose of fruit and vegetable waste. Other types of food waste (such as meat, cooked meal scraps, dairy products, rice or pasta) can go in your rubbish bin.
Our holiday collection text reminders are no longer available. You can find information about holiday collection dates for your area on this page or use our collection day search to check your address.
You must put your rubbish out before 7am on your collection day. This includes:
- rubbish bins and bags
- recycling bins and bags
- food scraps bins.
