Ngā Whakaurunga ā-Takiwā o Tāmaki Makaurau

Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA)

RFA merged with ATEED in December 2020 to become Tātaki Auckland Unlimited in December 2020. The merger was the result of a review of council-controlled organisations (CCOs)

What RFA did

RFA worked to enrich life in Auckland by engaging people in the arts, environment, sport and events – ensuring a rich, flourishing and inspirational social, arts and cultural landscape.

Its six divisions – Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Conventions, Auckland Live, Auckland Stadiums, Auckland Zoo and the New Zealand Maritime Museum – aimed to create rewarding visitor experiences and positive outcomes for Auckland.

Innovative and creative programmes delighted more than four million visitors every year, presenting engaging and accessible experiences across the city.

Its venues included ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, Aotea Centre, Aotea Square, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland Town Hall, Auckland Zoo, Bruce Mason Centre, The Civic, Mt Smart Stadium, QBE Stadium and Western Springs Stadium.
