Apply for a compliance schedule

A compliance schedule lists a building's specified systems and how to keep them in good working order to meet regulatory standards. This includes maintaining essential systems and safety measures like fire alarms, air-conditioning, evacuation channels (escape routes) and lifts.

When you should apply for a compliance schedule

New buildings

You need to apply for a compliance schedule as part of your building consent application for a new building with specified systems.

We will issue the compliance schedule to the building owner with the Code Compliance Certificate.

Existing buildings

If you have an existing building with specified systems and you do not yet have a compliance schedule, you must apply for one. You need to provide the same information about these systems as if they were being installed under a building consent.

If you have more than one building, you can apply for a separate compliance schedule for each of them if they do not share specified systems.

If you already have a compliance schedule and want to amend it, visit Apply to amend a compliance schedule.

How to apply for a compliance schedule

Email complianceschedules@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz with your completed AC2102 Application for a compliance schedule and supporting documents.

What happens next

We will review your application and decide if the compliance schedule can be issued.

This process may include reviewing previous building consent and Certificate of Acceptance applications. It is important to provide as much information as possible about any consents connected to your application.

We will let you know if we need more information.

Once we have all the necessary information and all fees and charges have been paid, the compliance schedule will be emailed to the owner and/or authorised agent.
