Animals in care at council shelters will continue to be looked after.
Animal shelters are open to the public but with strict entry conditions and required health and safety measures in place. We will be limiting entry numbers to ensure physical distancing rules can be met. If possible, please call the shelter ahead of visiting.
Viewing of dogs for adoption is by appointment only.
If your dog goes missing please check the Auckland Council impounded animals Facebook page or phone the council on 09 301 0101.
