When you speak at a hearing:
- give a brief summary of your submission and evidence.
- you do not need to read your submission as the panel will have read it before the hearing.
- if your evidence was pre-circulated, the panel will have read that, as well.
- do not use the hearing as an opportunity to talk about different issues.
- everybody who wants to speak at a hearing will have enough time to do so and to answer the hearing panel's questions.
- you may use witnesses to speak on your behalf, but you must stay within your allocated time slot.
We will let you know the time and how long you can speak, when we confirm the hearing arrangements with you.
