About the path

An easy stroll or ride around iconic Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill, one of the most recognised volcanic cones in New Zealand.

This loop path offers beautiful views over a working farm, out to the Manukau Harbour, to Rangitoto and Maungawhau/Mt Eden.

Start in Cornwall Park on Michael Horton Drive, just after the roundabout. Follow the short boardwalk through the oak trees, and then head down Twin Oaks Drive.

Stick to the red chip path if you're walking. If you're riding, keep to the road which is shared with vehicles travelling at slow speeds. Watch out for the cattle stops - it's often easier to keep up a bit of speed when cycling over them!

Follow the path down Kenneth Myers Drive, onto Olive Grove, past the Discovery Hub (Huia Lodge) and back to the starting point. Look out for animals - there are 600 sheep and 60 cows on this working farm.

After your walk or ride, there's plenty to see and do in Cornwall Park. Find your perfect spot for a picnic or barbecue, challenge friends and whānau to a round of games on the open lawns, pop into the cafe or just relax under a shady tree.

Public toilets and drinking fountains are available in Cornwall Park.
