About the path

This is a flat and easy walk that meanders through grasslands and pockets of native bush. It is a great place for walking your dog, going for a jog or just enjoying a stroll.

There are various entrances off Greenwood Road where you can park your car and enter the track. We recommend starting at the entrance on Creamery Road and completing an out-and-back loop walk.

Highlights of this track are the native cabbage trees and groves of toetoe situated throughout the park. There is a fascinating dog bath located about halfway into the park – note the little detour on the map and this will locate it for you. Picnic tables and seats are scattered throughout the park to relax on.

The track surface is varied, including gravel, dirt, grass and boardwalk. It is generally in good condition, but some parts are quite muddy in the wet, so worth wearing boots if it’s been raining.

Once you start your walk from Creamery Road, head through the grass field where there are picnic tables and seats. Continue through the first of many swing gates you will encounter and pass through the first section of native bush. As you continue along the path, you will pass in and out of sections of grassland and forest and have options to complete varying loops. It’s worth completing the loop at the far end that contains a boardwalk through some native forest.
