Youth Advisory Panel

What is the Youth Advisory Panel?

Auckland Council is committed to the young people of Auckland having a voice within the democratic process. We need youth views on Auckland’s future.

The Youth Advisory Panel comprises of 21 members from 21 local board areas.
The council is planning a youth workshop in early February 2017 to design a selection process for the Youth Advisory Panel.

For more information, please contact Austin Kim, Principal Advisor Panels.

Youth Citizens Jury

Auckland Council is calling on young Aucklanders to help shape the next Youth Advisory Panel.

The panel gives voice to young people at the council table, so involving young people in the design of the panel is important!

We’ll be doing this by holding a Youth Citizens Jury on Wednesday 8th March 2017 at Auckland Museum.

A day of fun and interactive discussion will take 100 young people from across the region on a journey to design an election process that not only works for council but works for the young people and communities too.

We are inviting young people aged between 16 – 24 years old to put their names forward to be a part of the jury.

Young people aged between 14 and 24 can apply to be in the Youth Citizens Jury.

More information is available on the Auckland Youth Speak Facebook page.

We look forward to your participation.
