This is one of the city's most notable open spaces covering about 8ha.

 


How to get there

Car
From Downtown Auckland, take the first left onto Wellington Street. Stay slightly left to stay on Wellington Street. Turn left onto Hepburn Street and turn left onto Smith Street. There is also access from Beresford Street, Tahuna Street, Ponsonby Road and Hopetoun Street where there is a viewing platform looking out to the harbour.

There is a fitness trail and walkways through mature trees, following the path of a seasonal stream through a sloping valley. There are sportsfields and tennis courts on the flat, lower area.
