About the Nathan Homestead centre

Nathan Homestead is an iconic Manurewa community venue where people create, celebrate and connect while surrounded by nature and history.

Built in 1925, the historic homestead hosts a range of events and courses, including;

  • exhibitions by local, national and international artists
  • creative classes for adults and youth (see the What's On programme below)
  • school holiday programmes.

It also offers a range of hire options for corporate and community groups.

Nathan Homestead is an Auckland Council arts facility, supported by the Manurewa Local Board.

Opening hours

Monday to Thursday: 9am to 7pm

Friday: 9am to 5pm

Saturday: 9am to 3pm

Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Accessibility

There is accessible parking nearby.

The ground floor of the facility is wheelchair accessible, but access to the second floor (including the galleries) is not.
