Request a building consent fee refund
You can request a refund if:
- we notify you of a credit balance and advise you to apply for a refund
- you transfer the consent ownership and have not used your deposit.
We can only refund the person who paid for the application. If you want someone else to receive the refund you must
both complete the 'AC2132 Authority to refund fees' form. Submit the completed form with the refund request.
How to request a refund online
You will need:
- the relevant building consent product application number
- payment receipt number if applicable and date
- the completed 'AC2132 Authority to refund fees form' if applicable
- bank deposit slip or bank statement (to enable electronic refunds).
Request a refund
If the refund relates to a change of consent ownership, complete and include the 'AC2149 Notice of transfer of a building consent to another person' form.
