Proposal to grant a community lease for premises at Rutherford Reserve, 28C Rutherford Terrace, Meadowbank

The Ōrākei Local Board is considering granting a community lease to The Scouts Association of New Zealand - St Chad's Scout Group, for part of the land at Rutherford Reserve, 28C Rutherford Terrace, Meadowbank.
The land is legally described as LOT 107 DP 17870 and classified as a local purpose (scout den) reserve under the Reserves Act 1977, and is approximately 979.2 m².
The Scout Association's St Chads Scout Group was first formed in 1954 and operates under the framework of Scouting New Zealand, which is governed by the Scout Association of New Zealand Act 1956. Its primary activity is to promote youth with empowerment through adventurous experiences to lead lives that make a positive difference.
A community lease will be for an initial term of ten years with one ten year right of renewal.
Any person wishing to comment or make a submission in respect of the above proposal is to lodge this in writing with Valerie Vui, Community Lease Specialist, Auckland Council, Private Bag 92300, Victoria Street West, Auckland 1142, by the close of business 10 July 2025.
