Help shape the future of Manurewa local parks

​Development of the Manurewa Local Parks Management Plan is now open for feedback.

Manurewa Local Board is preparing a local parks management plan for all local parks and reserves in the local board area that they have decision making responsibility for.

The local parks management plan will include parks and reserves subject to Local Government Act 2002 and Reserves Act 1977 and will replace existing reserve management plans.

You are now invited (under section 41 of the Reserves Act 1977 and section 82 of the Local Government Act 2002) to submit written suggestions on matters to consider in the local parks management plan starting Thursday 3 July 2025 and closing on Sunday 3 August 2025 at 11.59pm.

Paper submission forms are also available at the Manurewa and Waimāhia (Clendon) community libraries.

Information collected through this process will be fully considered when preparing the draft Manurewa Local Parks Management Plan.

Any submitter should state in their submission if the whole or any part of the submission is to be kept confidential, and the reasons. However, any information provided to the Council will become subject to the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and may be released by the Council under that Act.
