The Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board is considering granting a community lease to Marist Softball
Club Incorporated, for part of the land at Simson Reserve, 62 Hugo Johnson Dr, Penrose.
The land is legally described as Lot 3 DP109315 contained in NZ616/403 as a classified recreation
reserve under the Reserves Act 1977, and is approximately 1511.1 m².
The Marist Softball Cub was established in 1944 and incorporated on 17 February 1966, and a
registered charity on 25 November 2009. The club has been based at Simson Reserve for nearly 30
years. Its primary activity is to promote the sport of softball and provide related services.
A community lease will be for an initial term of five years with one five-year right of renewal.
Any person wishing to comment or make a submission in respect of the above proposal is to lodge
