What is the Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority?
The Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority (Maunga Authority) is the statutory authority established under the Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau Collective Redress Act to co-govern the Tūpuna Maunga.
The Maunga Authority is comprised of equal representatives from Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau and Auckland Council, together with Crown (non-voting) representation.

Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority Hui dates
The Tūpuna Maunga Authority holds regular hui.
The 2022 meeting dates are scheduled as follows:
- 14 February - 2.30pm. Online via Zoom.
- 14 March - 3pm. Online via Zoom.
- 28 March - 1pm. Online via Zoom.
- 23 May - 3pm. Online via Zoom.
- 25 July - 3pm. Online via Zoom.
- 15 August - 3pm. Venue to be confirmed.
- 12 September - 3pm. Venue to be confirmed.
The dates are subject to change.
The venues and hui start times are determined closer to the hui date and are publicly notified.
Online Hui
Due to COVID-19 lock-downs, some 2020, 2021 and 2022 Hui have had to be held via online video conference. Video recordings of the open public sessions for these Hui can be found on the
