At Alert Level 3: Step 1 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.

Customer-facing facilities like leisure centres, community venues, customer service centres and libraries will remain closed until further notice. Essential services will continue.

Wear a face covering, use the NZ COVID Tracer app, maintain a 2m physical distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick.

Upper Harbour Volunteer Awards

The Upper Harbour Local Board's recently established Volunteer Awards 2021 recognise the efforts of our community's unsung heroes.

If you know a group, organisation or individual doing great things in and for the community, you can nominate them for a Upper Harbour Community Volunteer Award.

Award categories

There are five categories to consider.

Individual Award

Individuals who have made a difference in their community.

Children and Young People Award:

Community volunteers under 24 years of age.

Community Group Award:

Not-for-profit organisations doing great things for their community.

Environment Award:

Individuals or groups whose voluntary work has enhanced our natural environment.

COVID-19 Hero award:

Individuals or groups who have made contributions during the COVID-19 lockdown and recovery period.
