The Upper Harbour Volunteer Recognition Programme recognises the efforts of our community's unsung heroes.

Nominate a volunteer

If you know a group, organisation or individual doing great things in and for our community, you can nominate them for the Upper Harbour Volunteer Recognition Programme.

Award criteria and information

The Upper Harbour Volunteer Recognition Programme acknowledges efforts by individuals and communities in our local board area that often go unnoticed.

The programme honours those who give their time, including:

  • individuals of all ages
  • not-for-profit organisations or local community groups that also provide a way for individuals to volunteer.

We will invite all nominees who meet this criteria to a ceremony to receive a certificate recognising their efforts.

  • Building an inclusive environment.
  • Celebrating cultural diversity.
  • Supporting new residents.

Investing in youth

  • Empowering leadership and development for future generations.
  • Supporting youth mental health and wellbeing.

Environmental heroes

Contribute to:

  • natural environment and climate action
  • enhancing and protecting the environment
  • sustainable land practices
  • helping reduce the community's carbon footprint.

Champions of sports and recreation

  • Promoting physical activity and sport.
  • Supporting sports clubs and facilities.
  • Promoting active healthy communities.
