About Nathan Homestead Pukepuke

Nathan Homestead Pukepuke was built in 1925. It is a heritage arts, culture and event centre located close to the Southern Motorway.

The homestead offers:

• art classes
• workshops
• exhibitions
• school holiday programmes
• space for events like weddings, birthdays and special functions
• venue hire.

Nathan Homestead Pukepuke is an Auckland Council arts facility supported by the Manurewa Local Board.

Restoration project

In 2025, we completed a project that:

• restored the homestead to preserve it for future generations
• strengthened the homestead against earthquakes
• installed a lift to the first floor to improve accessibility.

Documents and forms

Homestead

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8.30am to 5pm

Tuesday and Thursday: 8.30am to 9pm

Saturday: 8.30 to 3pm

Sunday and public holidays: Closed for venue hire and classes.

Pukepuke Tearooms

Monday to Friday: 7am to 3pm

Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 4pm

Public holidays: Closed

General admission is free. Charges may apply to classes, workshops and special events.

The homestead has accessible parking and is accessible by wheelchair.
