This committee makes decisions about how the Te Pūkaki Tapu o Poutūkeka and Ngā Kapua Kohuora are managed.
In 2010, mana whenua Hapū and iwi with ancestral relationships to certain areas in Tāmaki Makaurau where they exercise customary authority. and council members entered into a co-management agreement, creating the Te Pūkaki Tapu o Poutūkeka Historic Reserve and Associated Māori Lands co-management committee. They updated the agreement in 2023.
