They are different from our co-governance entities Our co-governance entities make strategic and operational decisions for specific sites of significance to Māori. They were created as an outcome of te Tiriti o Waitangi settlements and have the powers of an administering body and a local authority under the Reserves Act 1977., whose decision-making powers are set out in law.
