Find mana whenua areas using Geomaps

We have created a guide on how to use Geomaps to help find mana whenua contacts.

Iwi GeoMaps guide

1. Launch GeoMaps.
2. Click the Data Discovery tool and type TangataWhenuaQuery.
3. Click on Go to display the service below, and then on Add.

4. Once added, click on the Legend tab and expand the TangataWhenuaQuery layer.

5. Tick the IwiRoheAreaOfInterest layer.

6. Use the address search to zoom to the property.

7. Activate the green identify icon at the base of the zoom tools (the colours will invert), and click on the property on the map. 

8. In the Results tab, change the dropdown to IwiRoheAreaOfInterest to obtain a list of all overlapping rohe. You will see results similar to this:
