Te Tukunga Pūtea Āhuarangi o Tāmaki Makaurau: Urupare About the Auckland Climate Grant: Response

Note: We are not running a funding round in the 2025/2026 financial year. You can apply for Te Ara Urutau – Climate and Emergency Ready Fund.

This is a targeted grant programme to support community-led climate action projects that:

reduce greenhouse gas emissions through community-based action
build community resilience to climate impacts
support Māori-led responses to climate change.

Successful applicants have 12 months to deliver their project.

Types of projects funded by the grant

Grant value

$1000 - $15,000

Outcomes

Projects must align with one or more of the funding priorities.

Your application should outline how you will encourage:

new participants to take part in climate action activities
existing participants to increase their capacity for working in this area.

Funding priorities

We will give priority to applications in these areas:

transport
energy
food
Māori-led projects.

We recommend you read the Auckland Climate Grant guidelines before you apply.
